Completed maintenance check out, all levels fan motors and compressor is good. Drains are clear and condenser coils, inspect filter. Everything is properly working.
AC performance tune up times three systems. Traded drain lines with vinegar. Changed out filters client supplied. Check thermostat for proper operations. Inspect blowers, evaporators and ductwork. Check outdoor unit. Refrigerant levels good on all three units at this time. Wash condenser coils. Systems operating at manufacturer specs at this time.
Perform 1 system maintenance changed filter washed condenser coil specs are in maintenance form system is cooling at this moment.
Performed maintenance check out on both systems. Washed condenser coils, cleared drains, amps on all motors and compressors are good, temperature split and over all performance was great.
Completed diagnostic, found broken low voltage wires yellow wires for cooling at zone control board. Repaired wires working properly.
re-hung ducts in area by ladder access
Cycled both zones individually, then let each one satisfy separately to try and reproduce the issue. Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce it. I asked that they listen to if it’s when the heat comes on or off, and try to record the sound or get some more information so we can better diagnose.
Post install walkthrough on recently installed ductwork and insulation. Ductwork is supported and level. Insulation is good. I had to dig some insulation out of the can light covers.
Blew in attic insulation and replaced 4 duct runs and plenum
Evaluations of ductwork affected by water line bursting. 2 Sub plenums that were directly near water pipe have been affected. Insides are damp which could lead to growth that can spread throughout the plenum and eventually to the ductwork. In the pictures you can see where water has damaged the mastic that was sealing the Ducts to the top of the unit. Water infiltrated these areas. A section of 4 in flex duct was damaged due to the plumber having to make access to the water pipe that burst. At least 10 foot of this needs to be replaced. The unit itself was not affected as it was at least 10 ft away from the pipe that burst.
Heating performance tune up times three systems. Tighten all wire connections. Inspect blower, evaporators and ductwork. Test it all safety features high limit the rollouts. Check heat exchanger for cracks found none. No gas leak detected at this time. Strapped up ductwork for Sue's bedroom to have more direct path for the air flow. Test thermostat for proper operations. Systems operating at manufacturer specs at this time.
Found fresh air board bad and disabled it. No charge since I was just out on Friday
Arrived to find fan always on due to wiring issue on the zone board. Wire was corrected and unit was cycled on and off in both heat and cool. CN confirm fan is turning off at this time.
Heat checkup on 2 Trane units we installed. Both furnaces we're checked along with temp rise. Each having a perfect consistent blue flame showing normal combustion. Filters were changed. Master unit airflow was dialed back due avg run time being less than 7 min which gives customer colder air and the unit time to dehumidify. It can easily be switched back if he decides he wants more airflow in the future. Can confirm AC and heat both running at this time.
Primary drain clogged up causing float switch to trip thermostat. Drains were flowing back to the P-trap not allowing enough water to drain away. Reworked PVC all the way to the quick blast. System is draining properly at this time. No charge today because of the wrongly installed drains.
