When I 1st arrived system appeared to be operating normally. However upon further inspection I noted the blower motor cut off and on several times rapidly. I diagnosed the motor had failed and while I was testing the board I noted a drop in high voltage showing it too needs to be replaced. To prevent the system from having the same issue Imitately a furnace and coil clean out of the dirt and dryer lint aswell. Noted on paper the quote for repairs and cleaning. Customer also wanted a quote without cleaning that I gave but I noted there would be no warranty of work done due to nature of lack of maintenance cleaning. Attached to the same quote is one for a new system with a 10y part warranty. Customer said they where closing soon and needed time to think on the issue. Will need to contact your for part available on furnace board.
Added a pound of 410a for customers request. 10% discount per russ
11 year old Lennox with pressures and air temps in range. Was told by another company her system needed to be replaced. Do need to return with Chris to do a Tru flow analysis and heat load calculation to determine size needed. Customers had all the windows replaced and a second system installed so the new system needs to be smaller. Ductwork is definitely an issue just not sure it can be replaced separately. Also needs insulation. Will get with Chris on quote.
Apparently Noone called or dispatched me prior to my arrival. Noone home
AC Performance tuneup x 7 systems. Changed out all filters. 4-16x25x4 3-20x25x4. Checked drains, blowers, t-stats. All have 19 and 20 degrees splits. Condenser coils were severely impacted with dirt and pollen. Washed thoroughly inside and out. I seen loose boards on the deck that 3 condensers set. On each corner there needs to some sort of support, to secure the 2x6 frame to the post.
Performed complete estimate on west side system. Left options with Damon’s mother in law. Load calc coming in at 2.5t single stage or 3 ton two stage/ variable.
AC performance tuneup times two systems. Changed out one of two filters client supplied. The master bedroom filter still look brand new. Made adjustments to master drain so that it would have better flow. Both systems have a 20° temperature split. Systems are cooling properly at this time.
Checked system, came across upstairs that is not operating at all due to a popped 5amp fuse on the furnace control board. Disconnected y and c low volt wires going to condenser. Replaced fuse. Fan began to operate. Checked for any shorts outside. Contactor for outdoor unit reading 15ohms. No issues there. Connected y and c wires back to control board. System is cooling for now. Removed pen from condenser that homeowner was concerned about. System put back together.
Completed post install Inspection Found everything working and up to code however customer noted that 1 of the drain pans was slightly cocked backwards as well as a rattling coming from the vents remediated drain Pan told him we would have another appointment to remediate the vent he understands Other issue is on the outside unit in need of silicone around breaker Box and 2 outside penetrations will probably also be back out to remedy that as well please see pictures attached informed the customer about everything he is going to wait for us to reach back out And we will go from there
AC performance tuneup times two systems. Changed out filters. Client supplied. Inspect blower, evaporators and ductwork. Cleared both drain lines. Checked thermostats for proper operations. Check outdoor units. Refrigerant levels are acceptable at this time. The 3.5 ton unit is 15 years old. The compressor was pulling 15.2 A. that means it is pulling as much as a 5 ton. I am leaving a quote for replacement of the whole system. The first one is exactly what is here now but more efficient. The second quote is for a verbal speed outdoor compressor.
When I arrived the train thermostat was out of calibration. I informed the homeowner that it is rare but possible that the thermostat can loose calibration during a power surge. Recalibrated the thermostat and informed the homeowner if it keeps acting up we can warranty the thermostat as a next step. No charge for warranty work today.
AC performance tune up times two systems. Filters are good at this time. Inspect blowers, evaporators and ductwork. Check thermostat for proper operations. Check outdoor units. Systems are 20 years old and I am leaving quotes for new equipment in case they break down this summer. Systems are cooling at this time
Call back from maintenance Sidon on Thursday, May 25. Arrive to find condenser fan motor seizing up. The compressor had overheated. Call it down and condenser fan motor ran for about two minutes before it seized up. I resubmitted a quote for a complete 2 1/2 ton. Harold needs to talk it over with his wife and he will call me back tonight on which direction he would like to go on his HVAC system.
Dispatch for an oh cool on the bedroom section of the home. Turn thermostat on and went to condenser. The compressor is running, but it is not pumping refrigerant. I am leaving two quotes. One for apples to apples and one for more efficiency.
Replace the sensor system is working however there are still multiple area codes on thermostat told customer we would see how it fares overnight Please see pictures attached we'll touch base with the customer tomorrow to see how it performed
Dispatch for a no call upstairs. Arrive to find system turned off. Checked and found the 19 year old windings in the compressor to be open. Blower is operating inside but without moving refrigerant. I left three quotes for complete units. He would like to think it over and get back with me.
AC performance tuneup times two systems. Supplied and changed out 20 x 25 x 4 filter. Systems are both 20 years old. I spoke with Harold about possible breakdowns that they could have. I am sending him a quote for each unit. One is a 2 1/2 ton and one is a 4 ton.
Hey Sue performance tuneup times one system. Changed out filter Pam supplied. Inspect blower, evaporator and ductwork. System still has a leak in the evaporator. Pam has home warranty that will replace anything that gets broke. System is 21 years old and I am leaving a quote for, a new 15 seer and a new 18 seer complete system. I did not collect today because Pam showed me a copy where she claims she has already paid for her maintenance.
Arrival check in a customer the following are my findings found the thermostat for the temperature sensor on the compressor bad as well as a potential Motherboard as well Informed the customer that we would order the parts shortly as they were backordered out from everywhere he understands and will wait for us to touch base tomorrow with updated eta
Completed summer maintenance visit Only recommendation is continual maintenance please see pictures attached
install three customer supplied ecobee thermostats installed see wire at the furnaces and wired into thermostat. No PEK device needed. Homeowner has set ecobee app up and connected all three thermostats to Nettwerk. 03 systems are cooling at this time.
Performed load calc and estimate. Btus required 36,217. Left estimate for 3.5ton single stage frame heat pump and straight electric. Norma is individual who will making the decision on equipment. Upgraded warranty to 5year labor on basic equipment. 10 year standard labor warranty. Need to run copper under that house as well as stat site inside and out.
3 system checkup on trane units.. all 3 units checked and all.have issues. Master unit has a bad contactor which can be heard when unit is on. Also has a fan capacitor that's way out of range. Downstairs unit has a bad compressor capacitor and badly overcharged. Also has a pan almost rusted through due to bad drain lines. Upstairs unit is missing the hard start kit thr other 2 units have. Customer still owes 742 for the refister replacement done last time out. Estimate for all repairs will be attached to the call.
Post install walkthrough on recently installed equipment. Installers will need to come back at some point in time and correct the filter arrangement. There is a wire supporting the unit that needs to be moved so that the filter can be changed in the future. The filter cannot be changed until this is corrected. Verified primary drain is clear and flowing. The disconnect needs a 40 amp breaker. It is a square d
