System components checked. Airflow, attic insulation and registers are an issue because air isn't going where it should rooms don't stay the right temp without proper insulation.
Arrived to find system shutting down due to bad flame sensor and dirty filter. Filte is an outdated electronic one with pre-filter that is an odd size so ill send some info and an estimate for possible replacements. Flame sensor was changed and all other components were checked. System is a zoned carrier with infinity touch thermostat which makes it difficult to change blower speed but high static due to lack of bypass is also a possible issue. Can confirm heat is running at this time but we need to monitor due to airflow issues.
Main system has burnt connections to control board. When system calls for second stage he blower changes speed but the gas valve doesnâ€™t go into hi. Also the blower motor is pulling high amps and showing signs of failure. Most of the duct work is in pretty bad shape and duct board mixing boxes are bleeding air into attic space attracting rodents and making the system inefficient. I would recommend replacing the AC side of all of these systems since they are past their life expectancy and are R22 refrigerant, and I would recommend replacing all ductwork for a more efficient system.
CLEANED THE FLAME SENSOR AND INSPECTED HEAT EXCHANGERS - CHECKED FOR CO - CHECKED ALL THE SAFETY SWITCHES AND TIGHTENED ALL THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS - THE FILTER IS STILL IN GOOD SHAPE - THE SYSTEM IS WORKING PROPERLY ON HEAT MODE AT THIS MOMENT - TECH REC: MAINTENANCE RENEWAL
Search in attic to determine if a duck had come loose. Mrs. Hildebrand claimed a blast of warm air was sensed yesterday. Check both upstairs and downstairs while they were running to see if air was escaping somewhere. I found nothing. Checked all ductwork. I told mrs. Hildebrand to call us back if she found something.
No heat. Upon arrival thermostat was set to emergency heat. Inside temperature was 66 degrees. Turned on compressor Heat system came on and was operating properly. I'll let system run for 45 minutes. Temperature finally came up to 72 degrees with an N 15 minutes maybe 20. System ran for quite some time on 72Â° and never shut off. I checked outside. Refrigerant level was perfect. 11 degrees subcool. System is r410a. Air handler is 19 years old, outdoor unit is 7. At this time I believe it is the thermostat. Recommendation is new thermostat
Both systems working correctly at this time. Only issues found were with the condensate drain lines and the upstairs blower has run capacitor rated at 7.5 and its at 6.8 which well monitor. Atic tent was also suggested.
Heating performance tune up times two systems. Check and clean flame sensor, inducer ports and burners. Tested all safety features High limits and roll outs. Inspect blowers, evaporators and ductwork. Tightened all wire connections. Check heat exchanger for cracks found none. No carbon monoxide or gas leak detected in home. Ohmed out inducer Motors and blower motors. All are still within Factory manufacturer specifications. Test amp draws on blower motors. Main unit is 1.8 amps in low heat 5.6 amps in high heat. Master bedroom is 2.2 amps on low stage Heat 6.4 amps on high stage heat. Gas pressure is good on both systems. 3.5 in of water column in high stage. Tested thermostats for proper operations. Systems operating at manufacturer specs at this time. Leaving quotes for Wi-Fi thermostats.
Heat checkup on 2 trane units we installed. All system components working correctly at this time. Airflow has been and remains an issue with the only ultimate fix being ductwork replacement but some smaller things to try were discussed with the homeowner like changing the registers. Drain lines may be an issue and ill leave an estimate for that fix.
Heat checkup on new frane we installed. System is working properly at this time. Customer states it takes a little time in the morning to heat up the house up from 60 to 70 but explained that was normal. 1st and second stage heat are working and he didn't want heat cfm changed. Recommendations are to correctly fix the existing drain lines we tap into along with adding an eztrap to help with the limited space for the drain lines to run in. Can confirm heat is running at this time.
Will help move more air for air conditioning and heating
Mr. Heslep was having some issues with the thermostat. I calibrated with temp probes and turned off scheduling. All issues resolved at this time. It was too dark and cold to do a walkthrough on the condenser.
PERFORMED DUCT CLEANING x2 systems - replaced d/s grills, covid blast and installed reme halo on d/s sys -
System working properly in heat mode at this time. I detected 9PPM of carbon monoxide. I would recommend replacing, or at least cleaning these ducts. They are original with home. The hot surface igniter is weak and I would recommend replacing. The blower is also pulling high amps.
Arrived to find fuse blown. Found the contactor and transformer were both bad and they were replaced. After running the system the thermostat continued to act up as well and a new thermostat is also suggested. Both filters have high merv ratings and customer stated they only change them about every 3 months but given they have digs and cats I informed them it should be more often. Due to the inaccessibility of one of them it was recommended that they install one our electronic filters along with a medium base to lessen the hassle of changing the filter. Can confirm heat is running but due to the random shut off payment will be made on Monday giving it time to run this weekend
5 amp fuse blown again. Couldn't find out where the short is at this time. Installed resetable fuse link. If problem persists, we will need to come back to look for short
No heat. Blown 5amp fuse. Tsat was programmed wrong. Reprogrammed to a heat pump. System operating at MFG specs. Need to bring air handler 2ndary pan ASAP
Heat exchanger checked and no leaks were found that I could see but I did not have my monoxide detector so I'm not 100% sure. Burners were taken off as well to give a better look inside but do to the age of the system it was suggested he gets a quote and Jairo will bring a monoxide detector just to be 100% sure.
Heat checkup on 2 trane units we installed. Both furnaces are operating at manufacturer specs at this time. Newer unit has the thermostat in the master positioned where the vent is blowing directly on it and is the reason for the shirt cycle times. Short cycling causes higher electrical bills, higher humidity and shortens the life of the system. Customer was informed on the easy fix and the correct register to solve the issue. Both attic access pull downs have substantial gaps and which results in loss of both cold and hot air. Estimates will be added to the invoice. Can confirm heat is running at this time.

Downstairs heating equipment Inducer fan motor amp draw- .71 Inducer fan motor capacitor- N\A Blower motor and draw - 2.8 B
Upstairs filter 20x25x1 it uses a fridge magnet as the filter door. Master bedroom system filter 16x25x1 needs to be replaced Main system filter 14x25x1 The main house system may be undersized. Both the main system and master bedroom system have duct board supply plenums. The upstairs system does not have a safety switch for the drains. Safety switches turn the system off if the drain line or drain pan backup with water, preventing water damage to the ceilings.None of the drains are insulated or have P-Traps. Traps prevent sewage smell from coming back into the system and blowing into your home. There is a pump for the water heater supply line that looks like it is leaking water. Visually inspected all ductwork and it seems be be okay, although ducts are dirty. Upstairs system is R-410A refrigerant. Main system and Master bedroom system are R-22 systems. Main and master furnaces are single stage heat, single stage cool, non variable speed. Both of the AC systems are not under warrant

Recommendations are blower wheel cleaning before summer time. I will list that in the recommendations on the invoice. Also leaving quote to raise condensing unit outside to accommodate location of new pool. Per Russ Teager, given the age of the system ""COMPRESSOR MAY NOT COME BACK ONLINE"". This is because system is an R22 the old refrigerant.

Post install walkthrough. Low voltage issue where heat and AC would come on at as,e time. Retired low voltage and issue was fixed. Also installed an 824 thermostat and showed the manager how to use it and set him up on nexia to control thermostat through WiFi.
